Buzzard's Roost

A little lumpy, but it's finished.

Texas is having a really bad drought again this year, so all fire works have been cancelled this year in our area.   :((((
My daughter Shelley and oldest Granddaughter Isla are coming for the 4th!!
I'm sure they have something in mind for fun.

I was so excited today.  A beautiful deer was roaming around my yard.  She sure was pretty.  Looked a little plump.....hmmm.....maybe she had some fireworks of her own.

A tough block to press - maybe a damp cloth pressing will help flatten those lumps - love the colors and dotty fabrics.

All your blocks are so pretty!!! It sure is hot in the middle part of the country, all the way to the coast - we're going to get it later today - stay cool hon and enjoy the holiday, I'm sorry your fireworks were canceled!

You can take care of some of the lumps by pressing thost two central vertical seams open. They use to press seams to one side to make it harder for dark fabrics to show through the light and also the protect the seams which were almost all done by hand. But now we have strong machine stitches. Cute Block!
