My 30 minutes a day!

Just started cutting my Vice Versa blocks and picked the fabric for next weeks hexies.

I really like this block.  As with all the Designer blocks, the directions were terrific.  The only thing I didn't like was taking it apart to turn the block around........MY BAD!

What Day???

Rescue Me and a Giveaway

My sweet rescue kitty is Elly.

This was Elly's Mug shot on the Shelter page.  Who could resist that sweet face.

They said that Elly was so timid that she needed to live in a home without children and other pets.

That was us!

I must admit she is NOT timid anymore.  When the grand dog Lucky comes to visit, Elly gives her a really bad time.  Lucky just finally gives up and goes to sit in her cage.

She looked much smaller in person.  Look at that tiny cat.  She was already two.  She had been spade and something went wrong so the shelter had her in a foster home.

She has filled out a little and seems a lot longer than she was....giggle.

So cold.

I taught her everything she knows about sewing.

She's my shadow and really hogs the bed. 

Gypsy Wife

Pershing is the main March block for the Gypsy Wife QAL.

I still need to do the filler blocks for this month.

I paper pieced this block.  When I have lots of triangles, my blocks get a little wonky.

Quilter's Choice QAL

Block 1 - Sister's Choice

I'm using "Awesome" by Sandy Gervais.  I've had this fabric for quite awhile.  Switching from some of my newer fabrics to this one, I noticed a difference.  Awesome is a much tighter weave.  I like that much better.

This QAL just started.  No, I wasn't going to participate....GRIN.....until today.  I'm weak!!

30/30 Sewing Challenge

Wow....that week went fast.  I did manage to get my 30 minutes a day.  Shocking I know....giggle.

I did the pinwheel blocks this week.  The six little blocks on the sides.

I'm working on the Gypsy Wife Block 2.  I decided to paper piece this one.

and it looks like Elly is going to challenge the camel.
