Quilter's Choice QAL

Martha Washington Star
Block 10
for

Little Bunny Quilts
 This is the first time I've used the Fast Flying Geese method.  I must admit I like it.
I only had one that was a little wonky.

~~~~~~~~~~
A few pictures I made using our new camera.  The bird photos were made through the window and the others were made from the patio at some things that were quite far away.
Hexie Weekend with Angie and Audry
Another flower for my Star Flower Quilt
pattern by
The charm pack was a gift from my sweet friend most of you know as Carol from Bastrop.
Thanks you so much Carol!
Poor Elly lost her mojo as well....giggle.
She looks like she's in prison.
Maybe Mick should have cut her nails on the bed instead of the chair.
Look what happened.
Her paws suddenly disappeared as did her head. She looks like a Star Trek Tribble.
I actually have a Star Trek Tribble of my own.  Yep....I'm a Trekkie.
Audry at Glory Be Quilter is hosting Hexie Weekend for Angie.  They are both having giveaways so go link up and have some fun.
2014 The Hexie Blog QAL
July Ice Cream Block
2014 Hexie BOM
The block called for two ice cream scoops and I did try my block both ways, but ultimately decided on one biggggg scoop of ice cream.
:)
On another food note, Big Mick harvested some of his Jalapeno peppers and stuffed them....yum!
Life on the Bayou........
Many of you knew Susan from Life on the Bayou .  No I did not know her personally, but  just from her quilting blog.
I cherished all the words of faith she posted as she took us with her through her courageous journey as she faced cancer with her unstoppable faith.
Her sweet husband posted today and mentioned the song below as one of her favorites.
Susan you will be missed.
Hexagon Weekend by Angie
I'm still working on my July Hexie for The Hexie Blog.  I was going to have only a single dip for my ice cream, but am going to try the double dip suggested.
This is way I'm so behind on my projects
Mick, Mom, and I went to Tio Dan's on Friday for our very favorite Puffy Tacos followed up by Round Rock Donuts......Yum.
Mom had one taco and one donut
I had two tacos and two donuts.
Hmmmmmm........I think I need to switch to Mom's diet....giggle.
She's 1/2 my size or in other words...I'm twice her size.
Designer Mystery 2014
Designer Mystery 2014 BOM
Magical Anna
Designed by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts
The BOM is from
They may have sold out of this Mystery already.  I couldn't find a direct link.
This block was a little scary.  You make four hour glass patterns and then cut some off.  It fit to the snowball block perfectly.  No reason to fear.
Here's the video for block one.
~~~~~~~~~~

My quilty partner was laying down on the job.  Well at least she was 'sleeping' on fabric.

Awwwwww....Mom don't wake me up with that flashy thing!
