Never enough storage......Stashing my Stash

My sweet husband bought this for me for my upcoming birthday.  I found it at Pier 1.  You can see through the little holes that it is already full of fabric.  More places to stash my stash!!!  I put it in the extra bedroom my daughter redecorated for me a couple of years ago.  Orginally it was filled with several hundred beanies...yes I'm a kid at heart.

Now all I need in here is a flat screen TV!

The colors didn't photograph too well.  It's done in browns, taupes, creams, and white.  Her favorite colors.  Not a beanie in site!

I should have waited to take the pictures after she made the bed.  I have trouble getting the pillows even.

Shelley.............come fix my pillows....LOL.

I've been lost in the world of Kindle..........

Haven't felt up to speed the last couple of days, so I've been laying around in bed reading my KINDLE!!! (Thank you Ed and Kathy)  I've already finished a book and started on another couple of books.  I haven't decided which to read yet.

I think Mick gave up on me.  This morning when I finally got up, the washer was running, the house was picked up, and the stew was on.  God definitely gave me a good man!!

Block Q
I have only four more blocks to go for this sampler and have no clue what color sashing to use.  Please feel free to click on the label to look at the blocks posted here and give me your best ideas.  I have more of the solid blue left than anything else.  Maybe I should just go cream to tone it down.  Or put on my rose colored glasses and all will be well with the world!  Hope everyone had a great day!

I Got a package from the Post Man....he put it in my box....ladadada

Birds Flying in the Air and a Full Tummy.......grin....Thank you Tio Dan

Birds in the Air

Today was a great day!  We went to Round Rock and ate Puffy Tacos at Tio Dan's with my Dear Brothers, Sister-in-Law, and Big Mick.  We ate and laughed forever!  What a blast.  I'm sure they were happy when we left....LOL.  I'm thinking only my brothers and I enjoyed the stupid humor.  We are so weird.

Full and content, I decided to sew this block.  Since cardinals are my favorite birds, I made the block in red.  Off to clean up the mess that paper piecing makes.  Hope everyone had a day as good as mine.

IF I HAD NEVER...............by Sandi at Alegacy of Stitches

Thank you so much Sandi for this post ( http://alegacyofstitches.blogspot.com/ ).  Please go and read Sandi's post for today.  It made me think of a few of my.......If I had neverS....

If I had never helped my Mom with genealogy (ugh), I would have never learned what made Mom tick.  It's given us much to talk about over the last 10 years.  We finally had something in common even if it made me crazy...LOL.

If I had never had cancer, I would have never started quilting.............that was on my bucket list....grin.  I wouldn't have made "Flowers for Betsy Bug" for my Mom and seen this sweet look on her face.  That sweet face was worth every stitch I made.

We all have "If I had nevers...." in our lives.  I just love that Sandi has made me remember a few of the positive ones.

My Grandmother Jessie, long passed, embroidered the baskets.  I made a quilt from them and quilted it for Mom's 89th birthday....last year.  She's on her way to 90.  Grandma called Mom Betsy Bug when she was little.

Thank you Sandi!

No Food for the Squirrels

It got really dark and cloudy here, but we got just a little bit of rain. Sammie (my weenie dog) keeps wanting outside to get the squirrels.

The squirrels plant their hickory nuts in Sam's little fenced area, and Sammie goes out and digs them up.....grin. We are going to have some hungry squirrels around here this winter.

Block G is little out of WHACK, but finished.

Noooooooo, I'm still not caught up with these blocks.  I also have no clue what color to use for sashing or borders.  This is going to be one bright quilt.

Seasons from The Farmes Wife

Another Little Block.

Not Another Block of the Month................Yes! I couldn't resist.

A Christmas Story
by Jenny Elefantz

This is one of the corner blocks I made from Jenny's pattern.  Most of it is embroidery.  The fabric is Fancy Hill Farm.  Wish me enough years to finish a few of these.

Another Orangie Day or Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice or Block M

Here's hoping I have enough fabric left for nine more blocks.  Maybe I'll do a table topper instead.  I sure enjoyed doing this block.  It went together rather fast. Marge picked it from Marcia Hohn's website.  Go see it in it's orginal colors.  It's outstanding.

A Basket with a Wrinkle???....grin

Yes, a wrinkle in the handle.  I forgot to cut my strip on the bias, so my handle didn't stretch correctly.  Maybeeeeeeeeee I'll redo it someday or maybe not.  Still loving this fabric.  Doesn't take much to make me happy these days just some fabric and maybe the "Enchiladas" Mick is cooking for me right now!!!  Boy I'm getting hungry.  Smells good at my house.

Quilting Bee, EQ7 and more

I went to my Quilting Bee Group today and had the nicest time.  I don't go out much and have missed visiting with these sweet ladies.  Lots of giggles.  This evening I played with EQ7 and had a blast!!

I finished Block L for The Sampler Society and I'm still behind....grin.  I've been using the cream with flowers as my "sometimes" background fabric, but this time I added some muslin so the yellow would show up better.

Have a Blessed Day and hug allllllllllll your babies furry and otherwise!

Goodbye Sweet Elliott!

Today we had to say goodbye to Elliott.  Elliott was 16 and had been spending his older years posing  for the camera on my quilts and taking life easy.  In his younger years he was a wild and crazy cat....smile.

We'll miss you dearly Elliott.

We love you!

Psalm 103....My personal favorite.

Psalm 103

1: Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2: Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits 3: who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, 4: who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5: who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6: The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

Simple Radiant Block 3 and 3 Radiant grandkids.

Simple Radiant Block 3
Carol Doak's BOM

I can't believe I sewed this block with 3 of my 4 grandkids running around my sewing room...LOL.  They were taking turns looking for pins on the floor with my pointy magnet.  Gracie and Beth found them all, but Sweet Dakota had not had a turn.  I secretly (I thought) dropped a few more on the floor for him.  He picked them up with the magnet and said, "Grandma aren't you going to drop some more for me?"  Too funny.  Isla, my oldest granddaughter, will maybe be here to join in tomorrow.
