One Monthly Goal - I Believe in Snowmen

I met my September Goal
for

One Monthly Goal

I'm so excited that I have a finished flimsy!!

I looked around online and the only quilting of this pattern that I found showed the blocks quilted in lines.  Different directions for different blocks.  They were of the original quilt and quite hard to see if the white thread went over the embroidery.

Any suggestions or photos would be appreciated on quilting this.

I clicked on your picture and what a lot of embroidery it is beautiful. You don't want to quilt over the stitching after all that work. It is a great piece of work to be very proud of.

All the quilts I have ever seen that have embroidery they do not quilt over it. Looks wonderful.

Adorable! Not sure I would quilt over the embroidery lines, but have no other advice on design options.

Are you hand or machine stitching it? It would make a difference in what you do. You have some white space there that you could play with, but I think I'd want crosshatching. If done by machine, I'd start and stop at the embroidery lines, but go through the designs, just not over the threads. If by hand, it would be easy enough to quilt under the lines but go through the design blocks. You've spent so much hand time on it already, I think I'd want to continue by hand, but I've seen effective machine quilting on hand embroidered quilts, too. How's that for not being at all helpful? =) Frosty time is near!

This is just an awesome quilt. It has been fun watching it come together block by block. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.

Looks beautiful Billie, I have an embroidered Birdie Stitches quilt top and I am planning to machine quilt with lines right over the embroidery. It is all personal taste though for sure!

So pretty! Looks like a quilt calling for hand quilting to me.

Wow!! Amazing work! Since it is line embroidery and not filled in, I think it will look fine if you quilt over the embroidery lines using a very light coloured thread for quilting. It is such a beautiful quilt-top!!

Congrats on a gorgeous finished flimsy! I'm no help on the quilting front. But it will be gorgeous no matter what you decide.

This is a stunning top. I think it would be a shame to quilt over the embroidery but, as others have said, it's going to look wonderful however you decide to do it :)

What a beautiful quilt. I can't offer any additional quilting suggestions but I bet whatever you decide will be lovely.
