I can't believe I sewed this block with 3 of my 4 grandkids running around my sewing room...LOL.  They were taking turns looking for pins on the floor with my pointy magnet.  Gracie and Beth found them all, but Sweet Dakota had not had a turn.  I secretly (I thought) dropped a few more on the floor for him.  He picked them up with the magnet and said, "Grandma aren't you going to drop some more for me?"  Too funny.  Isla, my oldest granddaughter, will maybe be here to join in tomorrow.

Block B Alternative of The Sampler Society Yahoo Group

Big Mick and Shelley took Isla and Gracie to the Bastrop Zoo today to meet all the critters.  My personal favorite is the Guinea Pig house.  If you start throwing food out, they come streaming out of their house in long lines to eat.  It looks at least like a 100 of them.  I did go last time when it was cooler,  It's just way too hot today so I stayed home and sewed a block.  All the kids and Grandkids were here yesterday so it's really quiet.

The two oldest will be back soon.

I found this really quick and easy tutorial on Jenny's blog.  My 10 and 11 year old granddaughters are coming this weekend.  This might be a nice project to start them on in the world of sewing.  What are my odds of getting them to sew.............probably slim to none....LOL

My kids and grandkids are all coming next Friday, so I won't be sewing.  The two older girls will stay the week.  Fun! Fun! Fun!  Can't wait.

June You've Got Skills......from Night and Day

I rarely go to the movies, but I did yesterday.  Mick, Shelley, and I went to see Night and Day with  Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.  It was such a fun movie!  I think I laughed and squealed through most of it.  Might have to do that again soon.

I used a varigated thread, but it looks like I used 4 different skiens...interestingggg.  (Click picture for a closeup)  Some day when time permits and DH takes me to town to shop for thread, I'm going to buy enough thread to do the complete set.  I just think this pattern is so cute.  The pattern is written by Carol Williams, and look it says it's her first written pattern!

Yes, I'm grounded again for shopping on the internet.....grin....bills just came in.
