Star Flower Pattern Giveaway and Hexie Fun!

Playing with my Hexies!!

I was admiring Angie's hexie at A Quilting Reader's Garden and telling her about my hexies or lack there of.....grin.  She suggested we make a hexie every Friday to help keep us on track.

Sounded good to me.  After all, Angie's Applique Thursday helped me finish my Snowbound top.

I bought this pattern from Regina Grewe in 2010.  I can't believe it's been that long...giggle.  This  definitely qualifies as a UFO.  Here are a couple of pictures from Regina's webpage.

Regina's Star Flower quilt is gorgeous!!

Well there you go!  Angie and I will be making hexie's and posting them on Fridays.  Sew along if you like.....no pressure here.....just sew for the fun of it.

As an encouraging bonus to sew some hexie's of your own, I'm having a giveaway.  I'm giving away two of Regina's lovely Star Flower patterns.  The patterns will be sent as a PDF file directly from Regina.  No hoops to jump through.  Just leave a happy comment.

A couple of my rare blooms...giggle....because of my brown thumb.

and

a Road Runner.  I'm really hoping he is eating a baby copperhead.

Have a great weekend!!

Edited to post winners:

Congratulations to Sophie and Rosa the winners of the PDF Star Flower Pattern.

I've sent each of you an email.

Such a beautiful use of hexie's, Billie! Mine is a more traditional pattern - not Grandmother's Flower Garden, but it incorporates her flowers. I'm going to wait to show a photo until I get more done. Love the Star Flower pattern - had not seen that one before. Would love to win a pattern. Applique Thursday has helped us both - and best it has brought me a lovely, new friend in you.

What fun! But a dangerous combination - you and Angie LOL!!! There's just no telling how much you two might talk all of us into :*D So far I have been successful in avoiding the hexie craze, but I'll be looking forward to seeing all the gorgeous hexies on Fridays!

Love love love the star flower design ... you might just compel me to star a hexie project of my own with that one.

What a pretty pattern! I've been hexing for a while, well, I haven't actually done one for a while. Maybe I should join your Friday posts. The stars are so pretty, it would be fun to try EPP with another shape.

I haven't done anything with Hexie's yet. Just been admiring the work of others. Guess I should jump onto the bandwagon.
