What a mess! I didn't even pull all the paper off. This skill is beyond me. I also couldn't figure out how to do this without going over the same lines again and again.
Which I guess doesn't matter because I couldn't keep my lines steady anyway.
Elly loves all my scrap sewing. It goes directly in her bed. Of course, most of the time she's on Big Mick's lap.

Ha! Comfy kitty. I skipped this month's FMQ challenge. It isn't to my taste. Besides, I was traveling. Good excuse.
Sweet kitty xxx
There is a way to machine quilt this type of feather and only have to backstitch over every-other bump at the top of the feathers. Hard to describe, but maybe there are tutorials online if you do a search. It makes it so much nice. What I can see of your project looks good. : )
That does not look fun, Billie. I doubt I'll EVER free motion quilt, unless I get one that has a stitch regulator, lol. Even then, yikes. I'm a straight line kinda gal.
Elly looks so comfy - how do cats do that in any position??
What I can see of your sample is great, Billie. I do know what you mean about getting that paper off. My first question though is how did you get the pattern sharp enough to print it? Mine is so blurry, I know I am doing something wrong. Help!
I have a free motion foot for my machine...I have not praciced enough...one day...
You know Ellie is cute, but I don't think she can compete with Big Mick's knees, grin. Barbara in western NC
What a sweet little quilt for Ellie. The paper is a bear to get off and if there's any backtracking that needs to be done, like in this sample, the paper is tough to stay on the line. Backtracking is hard enough and it looks like you were doing the right thing. You should try marking it on a sample and then give it a try, see if that works better. You're getting there Billie, ya just gotta stick with it. Hope you're feeling better soon.
