Don't be offended.........
When I was MUCH younger, I loved listening to John Starnes. His voice is like velvet music drifting into my spirit like a blessing from my Holy Father. Today I needed a blessing.
Time has passed, and I found a new video of how God is using John today with laughter and song.
I let myself get offend yestersday by someone I love, but that knows where all my buttons are....no it wasn't Big Mick....grin. It bothered me all night. I know better than to get offended, but there you go. I prayed this morning asking God to please let church (my TV) send me a message. Joyce Meyers sermon was on being offended. How much plainer can it be....LOL. Somehow it still surprises me when God answers my prayers so quickly.
That happened to me on Monday ---before 7 a.m. and mine wasn't hubs either. Still stinging a little today, but am going to find that message you saw and listen online! Thanks!
I frequently am surprised when I get messages from God. I dont know why. I know when the song "God is trying to tell me something" plays in my mind. He is everywhere!
Don't you just love it (love Him) when He does that? I like closing my day with something from the Word, so last night I asked the Holy Spirit to please direct me to which Psalm I should read. Uh, He sent me to Haggai!!! (Who reads that very often?!) After reading it, I went to my many resources, and was going to grab Warren Wiersbe's commentary, but the Spirit prompted me to grab Courson's, which I almost never read. I reasoned a bit in my brain, and then said to myself, "Liz, God always knows best." The entire thing ended up being a confirmation as well as some admonition for me to move. Yep, He inclines and hears us... and answers in surprising ways, sometimes. :)
